Unless the parties otherwise agree, the fees and expenses (transportation, hotel charges, telephone, etc.) of the Mediator as well as any other expenses of the proceedings will be borne by the parties in equal shares. The Mediator's fee is £5,000 per mediation day plus £450 per hour for travel and/or study time (plus VAT if applicable). If the Mediation is held at the offices of SJ Berwin, London, the cost of the venue, lunch and/or dinner is included in the Mediator's fee. Payment will be made by the parties' solicitors to whom the Mediator will send invoices for payment within 21 days of the date of the invoice.
